Martin is a highly experienced and seasoned CFO with a 23-year career as a senior financial executive in technology and biotech. He joined Xenon in April 2008 as part-time, Acting CFO. For the past five years Martin has been consulting to emerging high tech and biotech companies as part-time CFO focused on strategic financial issues.
For the prior 18 years Martin was CFO for two midsize publicly listed (TSX, Nasdaq) Canadian high tech companies. From 1993 to 2002 Martin worked as CFO of Spectrum Signal Processing Inc., a developer of wireless and packet voice signal processing technology and from 1985 to 1993 he was CFO of Epic Data International Inc., a developer of factory data collection systems for defence and commercial manufacturers. Martin holds a B. Comm from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant.
