Michael Tarnow has served as Chairman of our Board of Directors since March 1999. Mr. Tarnow currently serves as a Director of several biotechnology and specialty pharmaceutical companies including: Axcan Pharma, Paladin Labs and Medigene AG. From 1995 - 1999 he served as President and CEO of Creative BioMolecules Inc. (now Curis). From 1973 - 1995 Mr. Tarnow was an executive with Merck & Co. Among his positions at Merck were President & CEO, Merck Frost Canada; Senior Executive Vice President Medico and Merck Managed Care and Executive Director of Corporate Development. Mr. Tarnow received his JD from the University of Illinois and bachelor's degree from Wayne State University.
