Chris Ehrlich, MBA

Chris joined Xenon’s Board of Directors in January 2004. He is a General Partner with InterWest Partners, a leading diversified venture capital firm. As a member of the Life Sciences team, Chris is involved in investing and building new businesses around entrepreneurs with novel therapeutic approaches. He currently serves on the boards of two publicly owned companies: BioMimetic Technologies (BMTI) and Transcept Pharmaceuticals (TSPT). He also serves on the board of several private companies, including: Carbylan BioSurgery, Follica, KAI Pharmaceuticals, QuatRx Pharmaceuticals, Satori Pharmaceuticals and Solace Pharmaceuticals. Chris played a role in InterWest’s investment in Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation, and was involved with founding AlgoRx Pharmaceuticals, which merged with Anesiva (ANSV).

Prior to joining InterWest, Chris was Director, Licensing & Business Development at Purdue Pharma. Prior to joining Purdue, Chris worked in business development at Genentech, Inc., in venture capital at The U.S. Russia Investment Fund, and in biotechnology strategy development at LEK Consulting. Chris earned an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1998, where he now serves as an instructor and advisor to the Biotech program, and a BA cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1992.
